Background:    This gene encodes a member of the plakin family of proteins that forms a component of desmosomes and the epidermal cornified envelope. This gene is located in the tylosis oesophageal cancer locus on chromosome 17q25, and its deletion is associated with both familial and sporadic forms of oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Patients suffering from the autoimmune mucocutaneous disorder, paraneoplastic pemphigus, develop antibodies against the encoded protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue using 215719(EVPL Antibody) at a dilution of 1/50(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 215719(Anti-EVPL Antibody) at dilution 1/50.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue using 215719(Anti-EVPL Antibody) at a dilution of 1/50.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D163791(Anti-EVPL Antibody) at dilution 1/50.
