Background:    This gene encodes a member of the low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) family. Low density lipoprotein receptors are cell surface proteins that play roles in both signal transduction and receptor-mediated endocytosis of specific ligands for lysosomal degradation. The encoded protein plays a critical role in the migration of neurons during development by mediating Reelin signaling, and also functions as a receptor for the cholesterol transport protein apolipoprotein E. Expression of this gene may be a marker for major depressive disorder. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human liver cancer tissue using 220299(LRP8 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20(Secreted).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human liver cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220299(Anti-LRP8 Antibody) at dilution 1/20.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue using 220299(Anti-LRP8 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D261297(Anti-LRP8 Antibody) at dilution 1/20.
