Background:    This gene encodes a preproprotein, which is processed to yield both alpha and beta chains, which subsequently combine as a tetramer to produce haptoglobin. Haptoglobin functions to bind free plasma hemoglobin, which allows degradative enzymes to gain access to the hemoglobin, while at the same time preventing loss of iron through the kidneys and protecting the kidneys from damage by hemoglobin. Mutations in this gene and/or its regulatory regions cause ahaptoglobinemia or hypohaptoglobinemia.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human gasrtic cancer tissue using 220605(HP Antibody) at a dilution of 1/40(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human gasrtic cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220605(Anti-HP Antibody) at dilution 1/40.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue using 220605(Anti-HP Antibody) at a dilution of 1/40.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D261755(Anti-HP Antibody) at dilution 1/40.
