Background:    The protein encoded by this gene is a cell cycle-regulated kinase that appears to be involved in microtubule formation and/or stabilization at the spindle pole during chromosome segregation. The encoded protein is found at the centrosome in interphase cells and at the spindle poles in mitosis. This gene may play a role in tumor development and progression. A processed pseudogene of this gene has been found on chromosome 1, and an unprocessed pseudogene has been found on chromosome 10. Multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue using 220322(AURKA Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30(Cytoplasm and Nucleus).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220322(Anti-AURKA Antibody) at dilution 1/30.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human ovarian cancer tissue using 220322(Anti-AURKA Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human ovarian cancer tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D261346(Anti-AURKA Antibody) at dilution 1/30.
