Background:    Defensins form a family of microbicidal and cytotoxic peptides made by neutrophils. Members of the defensin family are highly similar in protein sequence. This gene encodes defensin, beta 1, an antimicrobial peptide implicated in the resistance of epithelial surfaces to microbial colonization. This gene maps in close proximity to defensin family member, defensin, alpha 1 and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human liver cancer tissue using 221223(DEFB1 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20(Secreted).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human liver cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 221223(Anti-DEFB1 Antibody) at dilution 1/20.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human colorectal cancer tissue using 221223(Anti-DEFB1 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human colorectal cancer tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D262729(Anti-DEFB1 Antibody) at dilution 1/20.
