Background:    The protein encoded by this gene phosphorylates the alpha subunit of eukaryotic translation-initiation factor 2 (EIF2), leading to its inactivation, and thus to a rapid reduction of translational initiation and repression of global protein synthesis. It is a type I membrane protein located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), where it is induced by ER stress caused by malfolded proteins. Mutations in this gene are associated with Wolcott-Rallison syndrome.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human prostate cancer tissue using 220799(EIF2AK3 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/50(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human prostate cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220799(Anti-EIF2AK3 Antibody) at dilution 1/50.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue using 220799(Anti-EIF2AK3 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/50.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D262039(Anti-EIF2AK3 Antibody) at dilution 1/50.
