Background:    The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. The rat homolog is predominantly expressed in embryonic brown adipose tissue and has significant mitogenic activity, which suggests a role in proliferation of embryonic brown adipose tissue.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human gasrtic cancer tissue using 220548(FGF16 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human gasrtic cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220548(Anti-FGF16 Antibody) at dilution 1/30.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue using 220548(Anti-FGF16 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D261679(Anti-FGF16 Antibody) at dilution 1/30.
