Background:    The protein encoded by this gene is an intermediate filament-associated protein that aggregates keratin intermediate filaments in mammalian epidermis. It is initially synthesized as a polyprotein precursor, profilaggrin (consisting of multiple filaggrin units of 324 aa each), which is localized in keratohyalin granules, and is subsequently proteolytically processed into individual functional filaggrin molecules. Mutations in this gene are associated with ichthyosis vulgaris.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human cervical cancer tissue using 213516(FLG Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human cervical cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 213516(Anti-FLG Antibody) at dilution 1/30.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue using 213516(Anti-FLG Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D160334(Anti-FLG Antibody) at dilution 1/30.
