Background:    MaxiK channels are large conductance, voltage and calcium-sensitive potassium channels which are fundamental to the control of smooth muscle tone and neuronal excitability. MaxiK channels can be formed by 2 subunits: the pore-forming alpha subunit and the modulatory beta subunit. The protein encoded by this gene is an auxiliary beta subunit which decreases the activation time of MaxiK alpha subunit currents. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene. Additional variants are discussed in the literature, but their full length nature has not been described.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human liver cancer tissue using 220650(KCNMB2 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/40(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human liver cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220650(Anti-KCNMB2 Antibody) at dilution 1/40.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue using 220650(Anti-KCNMB2 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/40.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D261822(Anti-KCNMB2 Antibody) at dilution 1/40.
