Background:    The protein encoded by this gene binds transforming growth factor beta (TGFB) as it is secreted and targeted to the extracellular matrix. TGFB is biologically latent after secretion and insertion into the extracellular matri,x and sheds TGFB and other proteins upon activation. Defects in this gene may be a cause of cutis laxa and severe pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and urinary abnormalities. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue using 221498(LTBP4 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/35(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 221498(Anti-LTBP4 Antibody) at dilution 1/35.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human breast cancer tissue using 221498(Anti-LTBP4 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/35.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human breast cancer tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D263122(Anti-LTBP4 Antibody) at dilution 1/35.
