Background:    This gene encodes a member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family that includes decorin, biglycan, fibromodulin, keratocan, epiphycan, and osteoglycin. In these bifunctional molecules, the protein moiety binds collagen fibrils and the highly charged hydrophilic glycosaminoglycans regulate interfibrillar spacings. Lumican is the major keratan sulfate proteoglycan of the cornea but is also distributed in interstitial collagenous matrices throughout the body. Lumican may regulate collagen fibril organization and circumferential growth, corneal transparency, and epithelial cell migration and tissue repair.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human brain tissue using 217583(LUM Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue is first treated with the fusion protein and then with 217583(Anti-LUM Antibody) at dilution 1/20.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue using 217583(Anti-LUM Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue is first treated with fusion protein and then with D222637(Anti-LUM Antibody) at dilution 1/20.
