Product Name:   Anti-MFAP5 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Synonyms:   MP25; MAGP2
UNIPROT ID:   Q13361 (Gene Accession – NP_003471 )
Background:    This gene encodes a 25-kD microfibril-associated glycoprotein which is rich in serine and threonine residues. It lacks a hydrophobic carboxyl terminus and proline-, glutamine-, and tyrosine-rich regions, which are characteristics of a related 31-kDa microfibril-associated glycoprotein (MFAP2). The close similarity between these two proteins is confined to a central region of 60 aa where precise alignment of 7 cysteine residues occurs. The structural differences suggest that this encoded protein has some functions that are distinct from those of MFAP2.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human liver cancer tissue using 220693(MFAP5 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/40(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human liver cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220693(Anti-MFAP5 Antibody) at dilution 1/40.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human gastric cancer tissue using 220693(Anti-MFAP5 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/40.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human gastric cancer tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D261885(Anti-MFAP5 Antibody) at dilution 1/40.
