Background:    The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane glycoprotein that that mediates cell-cell signaling and plays a critical role in the growth and development of multiple organ systems. An extraordinary variety of different isoforms are produced from this gene through alternative promoter usage and splicing. These isoforms are expressed in a tissue-specific manner and differ significantly in their structure, and are classified as types I, II, III, IV, V and VI. Dysregulation of this gene has been linked to diseases such as cancer, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder (BPD).

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human tonsil tissue using 221378(NRG1 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20(Cell membrane and Secreted).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 221378(Anti-NRG1 Antibody) at dilution 1/20.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human cervical cancer tissue using 221378(Anti-NRG1 Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human cervical cancer tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D262940(Anti-NRG1 Antibody) at dilution 1/20.
