Background:    This gene encodes the penultimate enzyme of heme biosynthesis, which catalyzes the 6-electron oxidation of protoporphyrinogen IX to form protoporphyrin IX. Mutations in this gene cause variegate porphyria, an autosomal dominant disorder of heme metabolism resulting from a deficiency in protoporphyrinogen oxidase, an enzyme located on the inner mitochondrial membrane. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue using 218887(PPOX Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30(Cytoplasm and Nucleus).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human esophagus cancer tissue is first treated with the fusion protein and then with 218887(Anti-PPOX Antibody) at dilution 1/30.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue using 218887(Anti-PPOX Antibody) at a dilution of 1/30.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue is first treated with fusion protein and then with D225441(Anti-PPOX Antibody) at dilution 1/30.
