Background:    This gene encodes a component of a signaling pathway that regulates cell growth in response to nutrient and insulin levels. The encoded protein forms a stoichiometric complex with the mTOR kinase, and also associates with eukaryotic initiation factor 4E-binding protein-1 and ribosomal protein S6 kinase. The protein positively regulates the downstream effector ribosomal protein S6 kinase, and negatively regulates the mTOR kinase. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human lung cancer tissue using 221384(RPTOR Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human lung cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 221384(Anti-RPTOR Antibody) at dilution 1/20.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue using 221384(Anti-RPTOR Antibody) at a dilution of 1/20.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human tonsil tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D262949(Anti-RPTOR Antibody) at dilution 1/20.
