Background:    Alpha-synuclein is a member of the synuclein family, which also includes beta- and gamma-synuclein. Synucleins are abundantly expressed in the brain and alpha- and beta-synuclein inhibit phospholipase D2 selectively. SNCA may serve to integrate presynaptic signaling and membrane trafficking. Defects in SNCA have been implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson disease. SNCA peptides are a major component of amyloid plaques in the brains of patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Four alternatively spliced transcripts encoding two different isoforms have been identified for this gene.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue using 220379(SNCA Antibody) at a dilution of 1/60(Cytoplasm).

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue is first treated with the synthetic peptide and then with 220379(Anti-SNCA Antibody) at dilution 1/60.

The image on the left is immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue using 220379(Anti-SNCA Antibody) at a dilution of 1/60.

In comparision with the IHC on the left, the same paraffin-embedded Human brain tissue is first treated with synthetic peptide and then with D261455(Anti-SNCA Antibody) at dilution 1/60.
