Description:    Recombinant Human Insulin-like Growth Factor-binding Protein 1 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Ala26-Asn259 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
Background:     Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 (IGFBP1) is encoded by 259 amino acid (aa) with 25 aa residue signal peptide that is processed to generate the 234 aa residue mature protein. IGF-binding proteins prolong the half-life of the IGFs and have been shown to either inhibit or stimulate the growth promoting effects of the IGFs on cell culture. They alter the interaction of IGFs with their cell surface receptors. Promotes cell migration. Regulation of Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF) transport and uptake by Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Proteins (IGFBPs).
Species/Host:    HEK293
Molecular Weight:    26.1 KDa
Molecular Characterization:    Not available
Purity:    Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation & Reconstitution:    Lyophilized from nanodisc solubilization buffer (20 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0). Normally 5% – 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization.
Storage & Shipping:    Store at -20°C to -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -80°C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.
