survivin Monoclonal Antibody

Cat. #:  26131
Gene Symbol:  BIRC5; API4; EPR-1
Description:   anti-survivin Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Background:   Survivin is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) family. The survivin protein negatively regulate of programmed cell death by inhibiting caspase. Survivin protein is high expressed in most human tumors and fetal tissue, but is absent in differentiated cells. This makes survivin an ideal target for cancer therapy. Survivin is only expressed in the G2-M phase cells. It also plays a role in regulating mitosis.

Western blot:

Western blot analysis of recombinant PTEN protein.

Purified His-tagged Survivin protein was blotted with anti survivin mouse monoclonal antibody (Cat. #26131).

Immunohistochemistry:

Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human breast cancer tissue with anti survivin monoclonal antibody (Cat. #26131). Tissue samples were fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 1% serum for 15 min at 37 °C. Antigen retrieval was by heat mediation in citrate buffer (pH6). Samples were then incubated with primary antibody (1:50 dilution) overnight at 4°C. A HRP-conjugated Goat anti-mouse IgG (1:50 dilution) was used as secondary antibody.
